Care settings

We were thrilled to speak to Steve Knibbs for BBC Points West about our ‘care pack’ project at Paternoster House, Cirencester, where the residents and staff proved to be the real stars of the show!

Before the Covid-19 pandemic, we were touring community hospitals, friendships groups and care settings with our Bedside Cabaret, funded by The Arts Council England.

We worked with small groups, offering sessions tailored specifically to individual needs. These sessions involved not only one-to-one song and dance performances, but also talking with residents and patients, offering the opportunity to share memories and thoughts, and engage in conversation and social interaction.

There was always a focus on audience participation, inviting them to sing along and to move in a way that suits each person. We all appreciate those magic moments when music opens up our emotions and stirs forgotten memories!

Now that some restrictions have eased, we are thrilled to be able to resume our tour once more, with all the required Covid-19 safety measures in place.
