What we do best…

We are The Mary Lou Revue, a combination of the talents of Mary Lou and Slim Ditty, a professional duo celebrating song and dance from the Golden Era of musical entertainment. Our shows ooze elegance, exuberance, humour and nostalgia, and are guaranteed to provide an unforgettable experience, making us the ideal act for parties, weddings, anniversaries, festivals, village halls, care homes and much more.

Our joint repertoire covers everything from Rat Pack classics and The Great American Songbook, to song and dance numbers from Film, Music Hall and Vaudeville, or even a ‘Good Old Days’ pub singalong.

We are always happy to discuss your ideas for your event.

But don’t just take our word for it…

Steve Skinley
(aka Slim Ditty)

Slim Ditty is a crooner extraordinaire, singing classic Swing Jazz, Big Band and Rat Pack tunes from the 1920s through to the 1950s, the period known as the Golden Era of musical entertainment, including Fly Me to the Moon, New York New York, and Moon River. Think Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Dean Martin, and you’re there! Slim covers the 60s and 70s too, with favourites by Neil Diamond, Tom Jones and Andy Williams. He also sings Music Hall favourites such as Knees Up Mother Brown, Down at The Old Bull & Bush, and Que Sera Sera.

Marie-Louise Flexen
(aka Mary Lou)

Mary Lou performs a variety of different dance styles, including dazzling Charleston and tap dance routines. Think Ginger Rodgers, Cyd Charisse, Anne Miller and Vera Allen. An extremely versatile performer, she is also a highly-skilled cabaret singer, joining Slim for a duet or two, or taking to the mic on her own, singing classics such as Ain’t Misbehavin’, Sunny Side of The Street, and Perhaps, Perhaps. With over 25 years’ professional experience in the UK as a contemporary dancer, she is quite at home in the spotlight.
